How Destination Xchange Works

Members of Destination Xchange have the ability to exchange vacation ownership, IN REAL TIME, to a variety of destinations across different countries, accommodation types and seasons, as well as the option to return to their home resort. Exchanges are based on the Destination Xchange Tier system giving members the opportunity to upgrade to the different levels to accommodate their vacation needs.

By enrolling and paying an annual membership fee to become a member of Destination Xchange, you will have the opportunity to deposit your vacation ownership week. In return, for a standard exchange fee, you will be able to book an available week at any of the resorts within the Destination Xchange Tiers.

The Destination Xchange Tier is a tool designed to evaluate and identify which vacation ownership weeks are similar. Each resort available to Destination Xchange members will have Tiers assigned to the various accommodation choices by season.

Your vacation ownership week Destination Xchange Tier will be based on a number of factors including for example: Resort location, unit size, season, and demand for location.

To identify the DestinationXchange tier for your vacation ownership week, download a copy of the Members Guide. Please refer to the Table of Contents to find the resort where you own, and review the tier grid.

One of the great features of Destination Xchange is that you are not restricted to solely being able to reserve weeks in the same tier as your own. If you choose, you can reserve accommodations in a higher tier by paying an upgrade fee in addition to the standard exchange fee.
