What

On April 18, 2023, Hilton Grand Vacations permanently adjusted the number of Resort Points allocated to an Embarc Member’s vacation ownership interest and the number of points required to make a reservation. The adjustment consisted of an increase by a multiplier of 50. In addition, HGV is changing the Use Year for every account. Effective January 1, 2024, Embarc Members will have a Use Year that begins January 1 and runs through December 31 of that same year.

How

  • Resort Points: The adjustment increased points by a multiplier of 50. Therefore, for every 1 point in an Embarc Member’s or Embarc Passport Member’s account, they now have 50 points. Example: If on April 17, a Member had 200 Resort Points, on April 18, the Member now has 10,000 Resort Points.
  • Reservations: The number of points needed to make reservations was also adjusted by the same multiplier of 50. Hence, a Member’s ability to make reservations using their points within the Embarc Resorts collection stays the same.
  • Destination Xchange (DEX): For all future DEX deposits and reservations, a new Points and Tier Credit chart has been implemented alongside the points adjustment on April 18, 2023. Embarc Members with membership in Extraordinary Escapes that have an existing Tier Credit remain in the same tier, and Members with an existing DEX reservation kept that same reservation.
  • Use Year: Starting on January 1, 2024, all Embarc Members will have a Use Year that begins January 1 and runs through December 31 of that same year. Members with unused 2023 points will be allowed to use them without penalty through December 31, 2024. Members will also continue to have the opportunity to bank points.
  • Extraordinary Escapes Offerings: The exchange value per points converted for Extraordinary Escapes offerings has adjusted proportionally for each partner.


    • Why

    Adjusting all Resort Points by a multiplier of 50 and the Use Year creates one consistent, simplified points scale across all Club programs that allows Hilton Grand Vacations to now offer HGV Max membership to Embarc Members.

    Special Notes

    Nothing Changes
    An Embarc Member’s vacation ownership interest and access rights remain unchanged.

    No Additional Costs
    Embarc Members have not incurred any additional costs or fees due to the points adjustment.
