The resort is centrally located on a small slope that leads to the sea. The seafront is approximately 100 meters from the resort with a pathway that goes all the way down to the promenade and beach. Some pavements around the resort are uneven in both texture and layout. Due to lamp-posts on pavements, the area that surrounds the resort is not suitable for either wheelchairs or mobility scooters. There are ramps around the resort.

Street level, easily accessible and accessed by ramp. Automatic doors. Induction loop.

Bar/Restaurant/Entertainment
Accessible by lift/elevator which is situated in Reception. Accessible toilets.

Area accessible directly from Reception. Accessible shower and toilet facilities.

Area accessible from Reception.

Pool hoist. Steps with handrails.

Top Swimming Pool
Accessible by ramp.

Outdoor Games Area
Mini-golf, boules and squash are not accessible by wheelchair. Accessed by varying inclines and steps.

There are three designated accessible parking spaces.

• 1 outside Reception
• 1 outside the Royal Palms building
• 1 at the back entrance of resort to the Royal Mirage building

Partially Wheelchair Accessible Accommodation

Suitable for travellers with restricted walking ability who may need a wheelchair. Some areas within the accommodation and exterior are accessible. They have electric beds, adapted bathroom and special high backed chairs (kitchen units and work surfaces are standard height). We offer 4 accommodations in total: 2 one-bedroom accommodations and 2 two-bedroom accommodations.

Accessible Accommodation

Suitable for a person with sufficient mobility to climb a few steps, but who would benefit from fixtures and fittings to aid balance.
We offer 16 accommodations in total: 1 studio accommodation, 7 one-bedroom accommodation and 8 two-bedroom accommodations.

Other Accommodation
Not all ground floor accommodation is suitable for guests with mobility impairments as there may be steps leading to the entrance, steps leading onto terrace/balcony and other resort areas. There are varying levels and floors throughout the resort and there are no lifts/elevators within the accommodation blocks, except for the Royal Sierra block.

Jeep Safari
Those with foldable wheelchairs are able to take part in the Jeep Safaris. Wheelchairs must be able to fold to be stored in the vehicle during the excursion.

Selwo Marina
Fully accessible. Some of the shows take place in amphitheatres with stands, however the first row is reserved for wheelchair users and is fully accessible.

Proximity/Accessibility to Local Supermarkets/Shops/Beach
The resort is centrally located - steep slopes nearby with access ramps to beach. There are many bars and restaurants within easy walking distance of the resort.

Malapesquera Beach, Benalmadena Costa
Ramps for wheelchair users. Also adapted buggies available to take people to the water’s edge. Accessible toilet.

Some buses are wheelchair accessible. Taxis can be booked at Reception and adapted vehicles can be requested.
