Lyft Pass Program: Frequently Asked Questions

Receiving Your Lyft Pass via Email
Your Lyft Pass will be shared with you using your email address. To do so:

  1. In your email inbox, open the email with the subject line, “[Org] sent you a Lyft ” Tap the Claim Your Pass button in the email. Note: If you are new to Lyft and do not have an account, you’ll be prompted to download the app instead. We recommend opening the email on your mobile device so you can easily download or access your Lyft app.
  2. If you’re on your mobile device, your Lyft app will automatically open, and you’ll see a screen that details the Lyft Pass you’ve been Tap See details to view the name of the Lyft Pass that was shared with you, the full details of the value and any restrictions of how the pass can be used.

  4. Tap Done to close the details screen.
  5. To view the details and restrictions again at any time, tap the menu icon in the top left corner of your Lyft app, followed by Promos. Look for the Lyft Pass name in the list of

Viewing the Rules and Restrictions of Your Lyft Pass
Before requesting a ride, it’s important to understand the rules for your pass so you know when it’s eligible to use. To view the restrictions, tap the menu icon in the top left corner of your app, followed by Promos. Look for the Lyft Pass name in your list of promotions to see the details.

Restrictions can be combined and may include:

  • Location restrictions with designated pickup and drop-off locations.
  • Time and day restrictions where the ride can only be taken during specific times on specific days.
  • Ride type restrictions where the ride must be taken under a valid ride type for Lyft Pass to apply.

Requesting a Ride and Ensuring Lyft Pass Eligibility
After confirming the restrictions of your Lyft Pass, tap the menu icon in the top left corner of your app, followed by Get a ride to begin. To do so:

  1. Tap Search Destination and enter the name or address of your destination.
  2. Select your destination from the search If your destination is a venue, you may also have to select a designated pickup spot at that destination.
  3. Select a ride If your Lyft Pass had a ride type restriction, make sure to choose a valid ride type on this screen.
  4. Before tapping Select [ride type] to proceed to the next screen, please ensure that your Lyft Pass will apply to your ride. To do so, making sure the bottom left corner states Personal + Promo: [Credit card XXXX],

- If it states Business, [Credit card XXXX], tap Business [Credit card XXXX] to switch from your business profile to your personal profile. Lyft Pass only applies to rides taken under your personal profile.
- If it states Personal, [Credit card XXXX] Lyft Pass is not applying. Check the restrictions of your Lyft Pass again and make sure you are taking a valid ride. You will need to change any part of your ride request that does not fall within the restrictions of the pass (i.e., change the pickup location or drop-off destination, change the ride type, etc.).

  1. After confirming that Lyft Pass is applying successfully, tap Select [ride type].
  2. Review your ride once more and tap Confirm and request when ready.

Confirming Your Lyft Pass on the Rate-and-Pay Screen
Once your ride is completed, you can confirm your Lyft Pass was applied successfully on the rate-and-pay screen. To do so:

  1. As soon as your driver taps Dropped off to end the ride, you'll see the Rate-and-Pay screen to make any changes to your payment and rate your driver.
  2. To see a breakdown of the ride’s cost and how much of your ride was covered by Lyft Pass, tap the icon next to the total price.
  3. You’ll see a line item on the Price Details page for Lyft

- If your Lyft Pass covered the full amount of your ride, this line item will display how much credit was used and the total amount paid will show as $0.
- If your Lyft Pass covered up to a maximum amount, this line item will display the maximum amount that was covered. The total amount paid will show the difference of your full ride cost and the maximum amount covered, which will be charged to your personal credit card on file.
- If your Lyft Pass covered a partial amount of the ride due to the ride cost being higher than the amount of the available credit, the line item will display the partial amount that was covered. The total amount paid will show the difference of your full ride’s cost and the partial amount covered, which will be charged to your personal credit card on file.

Additional Lyft Pass Questions

What are the dates for the Lyft Pass program?
The Lyft Pass is eligible from January 9, 2024, through January 6, 2025.

If I have HGV Max Lyft Pass credit remaining at the end of the year, will it roll-over to the following year?
No, any remaining Lyft Pass Credits expire at the end of the Lyft Pass program dates.

What are the rules associated with using my Lyft Pass credit? Can I use this credit for any destination I travel?
The annual Lyft Pass is valid for for Lyft airport transfers to and from eligible Hilton Grand Vacations and affiliated resorts within the US ("Qualifying Ride"). Will I earn Hilton Honors Points for rides associated with my Lyft Pass credit?
Rides using a Lyft Pass or another form of Lyft credit do not quality for earning Hilton Honors Points. For the program’s terms and conditions, click here.

Can I combine this credit with Hilton Honors Points, if needed?
Yes, when you transfer Hilton Honors Points to a Lyft Pass credit, the Points are added to your Lyft account. Once added to the account, Points may be combined with a Lyft Pass credit for use toward payment.

What do I do if the Lyft Pass does not appear in my Lyft account when I request a qualifying ride? Will HGV reimburse me after if I am not able to resolve the issue with Lyft while at the airport?
The Lyft app provides instructions on how to verify if your ride qualifies for the Lyft Pass transfer before selecting it. Please follow the instructions provided in the app and notify Lyft if you have any questions or concerns. For more information about Lyft Pass, visit their website here.
